Position Overview
The Accounting Administrator performs a variety of general accounting tasks to support the Controller in ensuring various transactions are properly recorded in accordance with the company policies. Responsible for recording, computing, and classifying revenue data to ensure a complete financial record. Duties include a high focus on accounts receivable, with collections, as well as payroll, accounts payable, filing/record keeping, bookkeeping and other related tasks. A good understanding of excel is necessary.
- Create invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers.
- Ensure timely collection of account balances, work with customers to resolve discrepancies.
- Reconcile customer accounts on a regular basis to ensure proper payments and for irregularities
- Update and maintain accounting and other records detailing financial business transactions.
- Maintain files and records based on established document retention policies. Including managing destruction of documents after expiration date and in accordance with federal and state government policies.
- Maintain and update customer files, including contracts, amendments, communications, name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions.
- Enters data into computer systems using defined computer programs (ERP, Payroll)
- Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
- Maintain accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.
- Verify accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
- Maintain financial security by following internal accounting controls.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Work Hours and Benefits:
Hours are Mon-Friday, 8am-5pm

Qualifications and Skills:
- 1 year of admin/accounting experience
- Associate degree in Accounting (or equivalent professional experience)
- High degree of accuracy
- Great attention to detail
- Proficiency in mathematics
